KA$HDAMI - HYPERNOVA.
HYPERNOVA. is a mellow, vibey 11-track Hip hop album that runs for 22 minutes and 46 seconds and was released on November 12th, 2021. It opens on “Public”, which is a banger with a distorted, melodic beat on which KA$HDAMI glides effortlessly, talking about his lifestyle and current success. After that is “Old Me”, where he confronts his current lifestyle and his struggles with his recent rise to fame and comes to terms with his current position in life. Next is “Switchin Sides”, which is a diss to all of the people that were not true friends to him, and empowerment and reassurance of himself.
“No Nonsense” comes after that, and it sees him taking a stand for his friends and for his lifestyle. Following that is “Head$hot!” which also has the only feature on the project which comes from none other than Trippie Redd, and it is aggressive and energetic. The song features them talking about the danger that surrounds them and how they deal with it. “Let Me Know” follows that, and it is a hyper-energetic explosion of lines that express the many emotions that he is feeling. It centers around a newly found romance, how he feels about it, and its implications. After that comes “NotGonLie” which is a trippy reflection on his past and how he has gotten to where he is right now. Next up is “B.O.A.”, it is a smooth track with a nice melody and a cool set of bars.
Coming after that is “Intermission” which is a highly energetic and aggressive track with high viral potential due to its clever and witty lyrics which come off as funny, but not corny. After that is “Good4Me”, which is a serious-toned reflection on his past and the many things that he has dealt with. It also acts as a plan for how he wants to continue living his life. Closing out the album, the 11th, and final track is “#SolveIt”, which acts as somewhat of a victory lap for the album, as he closes it out on a strong, aggressive, and energetic note. Overall, HYPERNOVA. is a super fun album that simultaneously covers deeper personal matters, allowing KA$HDAMI to express himself, and us to feel ourselves.
