This one is special to me. After multiple months of uncertainty as to if this video was going to be released, what it would look like if so, when it would be released, etc. I finally sat down one day and decided that I was going to finish the video. I tried to make the video very personal to me and use the visual elements as an extension of me relating to the song. A lot happened in all three of our lives during the time period from filming the video to when it was released; it was almost a year, so there was lots of time to gain inspiration for how the video should look. But when it was all said and done, we had made a product that we were all proud of. The song is very emotional and it makes you feel as though you have fallen into an abyss; however, it is also a lit, exciting jam to rock out to. I tried to mirror this in the video. The shoot also reflected these vibes. It was kind of funny, they were singing these deep, pain-filled verses, but it was all smiles and laughs. Additionally, the house this video was shot at is somewhat of a lowkey tourist attraction that my friends and I would always go to, or be scared to go to, growing up. I had my eye on it for a while to use for a video, but I could never decide on what video to use it for. On the day of filming, I drew out a simple storyboard and then we discussed it once they arrived, then we walked to the location, got some shots in the house and around the area, went to shoot Kill Te’, and then we went back to my house and did an interview for each of them. It was a really fun and memorable night, and we definitely made a video that has a special place in the books for me.
