Tristen Davies is a rare and phenomenal artist in a stream of everchanging, constantly expanding Rap music. With his influences being primarily rooted in ‘90s New York—artists such as The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, DMX, 50 Cent—it comes as no surprise that he can rap so well whilst producing vivid imagery. The nineteen-year-old independent artist is certainly paving his own lane, giving a fresh revival to Old-school hip hop. And with recent singles such as “tomorrow.” and “The Introvert”, it doesn’t seem like Tristen plans on slowing down anytime soon. "Cheers Gov'Nor !" is a funky, upbeat Hip hop song from Tristen Davies, a lyrical rapper from Raleigh, North Carolina. The track has Tristen delivering fluent, groovy, and pain-filled verses over a fresh Trap beat from SENOJNAYR. The visualizer accompanies the song with a claymation character living in a mini-world remnant of New York in the '90s. The process of creating this involved a very large mess, lots of time and patience, and a lot of improvisation.
