Kenarri’s latest with MuddyMya is a wavy, uplifting heartbreak anthem.
“Heart Strings” is a self-assured banger. The supercharged beat is produced by SK808, with an intoxicating electronic synth melody, a catchy lead, and some really unique drums. Kenarri flies through the beat with a harmonic flow and confident delivery. She talks about the people in her life that left her or did her wrong, and how they have to pay, for pulling the strings in her heart. With a runtime of 3 minutes and 13 seconds, the track doesn’t overstay its welcome or fall short.
Dealing with abandonment is difficult, but as she says, not taking things to heart is the best way to cope with it in my opinion. People grow and change, and being solidified in yourself is very powerful. MuddyMya carries the energy on very well; coming with the same assurance as Kenarri. Muddy drops some lines about how she is doing her own thing and succeeding. Overall, the track is a high-energy heater from two talented Atlanta artists.
