Te’ the Kid - Mars
Mars is a spacey, chill Hip hop track by Te' the Kid featuring Brisky, two artists from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The track has a rhythmic chorus and well-delivered, raw lyrics. Nicasso’s production is cosmic and surreal, with a galactic melody and riding drums. The music video brings the viewer into a trippy world that is not like ours, complimenting the song. This video was extremely fun to shoot, and there were plenty of funny moments, definitely one for the books. Additionally, I am extremely excited about how it came out. I used a white screen and a space video for the background on the tv and had them sit in front of it. For the black background, we used a curtain or bed sheet I believe. I also used a plastic cup to diffuse the light, shout out to Brisky for suggesting that. For the effects, I used datamoshing for the first time in a video, which was very fun. Aside from that, I just used a lot of different spacey effects (mostly from Boris) and animations, along with alien eyes, a ufo, miniature clay models of Pluto and Mars, etc. I also incorporated a lot of the fun moments from the shoot. I really just wanted to make the video fun and trippy, to bring out the energy of the song; something that you can just stop and vibe or dance to in the middle of your school or workday if you get bored.
