Jet Rogers drops his explosive new project BOY BAND CLOUT

On July 21st, 2023, Jet Rogers gave us a 13-track set of pure vibes. The project has sick features from Apex 3400, 10cellphones, Ducey Gold, Nobodyk, and TommyxBo. They add explosive energy, making the whole thing feel like a movement, not just an album.

The soundscape is curated by producers A-Slick, Southside Miko, OK, OTW, QC, Ahbi, and Richie Braxton. 24seven mixed and mastered it to perfection. All in all, BOY BAND CLOUT is 28 minutes and 28 seconds of hype. We asked the Greensboro, North Carolina native some questions about it.

Interview:

How have things been in your life and career?

Things are going great honestly. I’m blessed to still have fun doing this, just excited to see what the future holds.

How has it been performing shows and rocking out?

I love being on stage that’s one of the main reasons I make music, to perform the art I make. Great feeling being up there connecting with the fans, it’s just an all-around amazing experience.

What does the phrase “Boy Band Clout” mean to you?

Boy Band Clout, it’s kinda self explanatory. I’ve been hanging around a lot of artists outside of Rap and seeing how they operate and move. I figured I’d just apply that to my music and persona.

What kind of vibe are you going for with this project?

This is probably the most open I’ve been with a project. It was so much fun trying new sounds and establishing a solid foundation for my future. I’m excited to see how it ages with time.

How long has this project been in the works, and how has the process of making it been?

This project has been in the works for a little over a year. I had about 20-25 songs, and I cut it down to 13.

What’s your favorite track on the project, and why?

It changes everyday honestly. This project, it’s so great to me because it offers a lot in different areas, and has so many situations it covers.

If you were the 90’s Bulls, what year do you feel like you’re in right now?

It has to be the ‘91 Bulls. I feel like I just got over the hump with this project and in my career; figured out a formula and made it concrete.

How was it working with On the Way, and tell us more about that collab?

I met OTW just being around the city. Honestly one of the best young producers coming up right now. I’m excited to see what he accomplishes, knowing he isn’t peaking anytime soon.

Are you tapped in with the ATL scene? And if so, who are some artists you’ve worked with there/want to?

Definitely a huge fan of the Atlanta scene and culture; a lot of inspiration comes from there. I’ve worked with Baby Jupe, and I’d love to lock in with more artists from all over there. Really it’s only a matter of time honestly.
