Sly Mike is a versatile and unique artist from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is also a frequent Nosebag Media collaborator; check here to see some of the videos that we have done. He recently dropped a 6-song EP Surreal County; he explores various themes such as heartbreak, staying focused and motivated, who he is and why that is, and more. The project takes us through a wide range of sounds as well, going from hard-hitting Trap beats to ones with a more trippy sound, all the way to tracks with a smooth R&B vibe. What general vibe or message do you want to communicate with this project?
❝The vibe and drop date are 420-themed, it’s a stoner’s energy and a party vibe mixed together.❞
What is your favorite track on the project?
❝My favorite track would have to be “Peppermint” because it explains why I am and act the way I do.❞
What is the key to perseverance in your opinion?
❝I would say the key is to not worry about what everyone else is doing and just give a genuine vibe and let your energy and work do its thing.❞
How do you feel as though parting ways with a partner changes a person?
❝Sometimes you have to go through things to grow, I put that energy into my music. An ex can always be a lesson, but life goes on and being elevated helps the process. My advice is pass the blunt before your heart.❞
